What is LASCAR ?
Law and Society Counseling and Research Center Pvt.Ltd. (LASCAR) was established in 2004 with the aim to establish and develop Socio-legal laboratory to deal with all kinds of socio-legal problems of the society (Nepal). Although it is committed to develop its wide approach in theoretical and empirical understandings of law, it has specially been focusing its activities within the legal sector in the context of common theories of laws for social reform with focus on child protection.
It provides trainings and workshops organizes seminars to increase public awareness about social reform and social protection. It aims to train and provide a forum for new cadre of Legal professional, Policymakers and Scholars with a hope have a better understanding of child rights with special focus on juvenile justice, adoption.
It explores various aspects of the law. It coordinates with various national and international organizations to carry out socio-legal studies for the development and reform of necessary legislation, policy and programs.
